Rob, Christine, Alex, and Abby

I cannot choose where I was born and raised, but I can choose where I want to live. I chose Salem.

My multicultural upbringing deeply influenced who I am today. I was born in Taiwan and raised in Thailand. In 2015, I became a proud American citizen.

When my husband Rob and I moved to the United States almost a decade ago to be closer to family, we immediately fell in love with Salem's kaleidoscopic culture, its charming streets, unique small businesses, and world-class dining scene. After living in the North Shore for several years and visiting Salem every week, we found our home downtown in 2015 and planted our roots in Salem to raise our family in this diverse and welcoming community.

Since arriving in the U.S., I completed a graduate degree in urban planning at Tufts University and spent many years as a planner in the public sector. I helped communities across greater Boston tackle issues ranging from economic development, to housing, to transportation, and more.
