Salem City Councillor Ward 2
Christine represents a new generation of elected leaders in Salem to keep moving the city forward. As Councillor, Christine has led with
professionalism and positivity.
Christine chose Salem to raise her young family because of the rich culture the city offers, its diverse community and its walkable environment.
As a daily commuter and mom to Alex (4) and Abby (10m), she understands that participation in local government requires time: a precious resource that many simply do not have.
Christine has a track record of standing up for those who are often unheard and empowers citizens through direct community engagement.
Christine is a progressive leader and a strong advocate for affordable housing, investment in public transportation, and inclusive community values.
As an urban planning and development professional, Christine has applied her skills and knowledge through her service on the Salem Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board, the Salem Redevelopment Authority, and now on City Council, where key land use decisions are made to shape and guide Salem's growth.
Christine has been a vocal advocate for more investment in public transportation and smart growth policies that are key to a more sustainable future.
For the past 2 years, Christine has served as the Council Liaison for Salem's No Place for Hate Committee.
